Easy Beef Stew (1st PRIZE)

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g of stewing steak
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 stick celery
  • 2 tablespoons of pearl barley
  • Beef stock cube
  • Dash of Worcester sauce
  • Mixed herbs

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Roughly chop meat and veg
  2. Add to an oven proof dish with lid.
  3. Add all other ingredients and just cover with water.
  4. Place in oven with lid on at 180 c and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours till meat is tender
